WOLA-Duke Book Award Winner Announced
Francisco Goldman's "The Art of Political Murder" has won the first annual WOLA-Duke Book Award for Human Rights in Latin America.
The author of the winning book, Francisco Goldman, will receive a $1,000 cash award and an invitation to the WOLA (Washington Office on Latin America) Benefit Gala and Human Rights Award event in September. He has been invited to give a reading at Duke in the fall semester.
The book award is another cooperative venture between WOLA and Duke. Under an agreement signed in January, WOLA has donated its inactive archives dating back to the organization's founding to the Archive for Human Rights at Duke Libraries.
